At the end of August, as in the previous year, we prepared the treibball program for an extended summer training weekend in Pecka. This year, the team was purely tricolor. It consisted of 7 Entlebuchers and 2 Bernese mountain dogs. Some participants from last year came again, so there were also more advanced teams in addition to beginners. The weather was warm, but this time the temperatures were not so high to force us to train only in the mornings and late afternoons and to spend most of the day in the shade or in the water. Riding on the boat and swimming in the pond were just a pleasant diversification of the program. All the participants were very diligent, and at the end of the course, beginners have mastered the basics of pushing the ball and walking to the target, and the more advanced ones have improved their skills before the upcoming autumn races. Beany z Lesni zahrady, the female from our litter B, was one of the members of the treibball group and thus we had three generations represented there. The extended weekend was closed by the traditional team competition in which the treibball team has won this year, and its members amused the other participants by passing a part of the track with the balls. Nice surroundings, pleasant accommodation, full service, nice weather, and skilled and diligent members of the treibball team were a good base for a pleasantly spent extended weekend. The whole event was perfectly prepared by Jana and Pavel Pecenkovi. Preparing an event for more than 100 participants so that everyone was satisfied, and everything was going smoothly, must have been far from easy. At the end of the joint program, on the way back home we made a short trip to Pecka, which was a picturesque background for our view from the opposite hill for a couple of days.
