TREIBBALL
Treibball is a team dog activity derived from herding trials that uses exercise balls rather than sheep and a soccer goal rather than a pen. Teaching your dog to “herd” the balls into the goal is great fun for both you and your dog Beyond the fun involved, what makes Treibball so great is that it builds your dog’s attention to you, his impulse control and off-leash reliability. And most importantly, it strengthens the level of communication between the two of you. Treibball is a thinking game; it is a conversation between you and your dog, with smooth teamwork as the real goal. Treibball is fun, but is complex [Dianna Stearns].We organize the international treibball competition and races TREIBBALL OPEN.
Treibbal caught our attention for several reasons:
• The dog trains not only the body, but also the head
• It develops a communication link between dog and master and off-leash reliability
• After buying the basic equipment you can train in the garden
• It does not require any special physical condition of the handler, which means that even in our age we will be able to practice with our dogs without restrictions
• Treibball and related Treibball games will be great fun not only for our dogs and for us, but also for our grandchildren and their friends.
The following videos and photographs illustrate our progress in Treibball from the beginning to the present. You can see our females Barnie Sweape and Aisha z Lesní zahrady in almost all the videos. The very beginning has been missing at our website for a long time. We added it later after filming of the first treibball steps of other dogs.
