Treibball Race in Pesopark VIII, 13.5.2023
On May 13, under the auspices of the Czech Treibball Club and with the help of Jirka Čedík and the Ťapka
dog school, we held the eighth treibball race in Pesopark. Races in Pesopark are always well attended,
but this time the interest exceeded our expectations, and it was the biggest race so far. We filled the
limit of 50 teams already two weeks before the deadline and 48 of the 50 registered participants finally
arrived. 14 participants came from abroad (Hungary, Germany, Austria). The fact that all our documents
were trilingual (Czech, English, German) and thanks to the excellent language skills of Jirka Čedík and
Vivi Davidová, all the announcements on the spot, including boardings, undoubtedly contributed to the
great interest of foreign participants. Thanks to generous sponsors, we could afford to order nice trophies,
uniform name tags with numbers for all competing teams, and t-shirts with the race logo were also available.
The winners received valuable prizes from the sponsors, and thanks to the welcome bags with a small gift,
even those who did not reach the podium, did not leave empty-handed.

Bradáčová capture the course of the race and the richness of the breeds represented. The following breeds
competed in the Small category: Dachshunds, Shelties, Staffordshire Bullterrier and Miniature Schnauzer.
In the Large category, the composition of breeds was even more varied: Border Collies, Malinoiss,
Australian Kelpie, Australian Shepherd, English Cocker Spaniel, Long-haired Collie, Sheltie, Pyrenean
Shepherd, Entlebuch Cattle Dogs, Mudis, Portuguese Water Dog, Poodle, Baucerons, Labradors, Schnauzer,
Czech Shepherd, Texas Heeler, German Shepherd, and several crossbreeds.
Barnie competed in the TRB 2 Large Senior category, and she won in this category. In the FAST run, she
started in the moment, when the wind was blowing stronger and was pulling her balls to one side, but she
fought against the wind bravely. In the SMART run, Barnie obviously had a different idea of how to perform
the figure eight than Milan, but finally they somehow agreed and completed all the tasks. Aisha took part
at the race after a long break from racing following December surgery for a torn cruciate knee ligament.
After a ssuccessful surgery and recovery, she has been allowed full load for a long time, but we decided
to let her start on a shorter track in the TRB 1 Large class outside of competition. We were happy to see
that she didn't forget anything and ran both runs cleanly and briskly. But the most important victory was
that the only visible memory of the surgery is still shorter fur on the operated leg.
In addition to Barnie and Aisha, the placement of the teams that train with us in Pesopark and Beroun
also made us very happy at the race. In strong international competition, our teams won one first, four
second and two third places, and our other teams also performed very well, everyone fulfilled the prescribed
tasks, and no one was disqualified. The atmosphere of the announcement of the results and all the winners

The race was successful. We would like to thank the record number of participants for coming to Prague,
they often had a very long drive, and for carefully preparing for the race and contributing to the relaxed
course and pleasant atmosphere of the races with their behaviour. A big thank you goes to all the sponsors,
our co-organizers Jirka Čedík and the Hejč family. Jirka Čedík and Pavla Hejčová Langová were also judges.
We thank the Dušek family for their help in preparing the field before the race. In view of the impending
wind, we decided to secure the playground with screens after all, and due to the dry weather, it was
necessary to drill all the holes for sticking the walls in the ground. The team of all helpers under the
leadership of Melanie Kukelková made a significant contribution to the smooth running of large race without
downtime and waiting. We would like to thank Jarka Chlumská for the opportunity to organize races in the
