Treibball Race in Windach, 8.6.2023
Together with Jiří and Pretty, we tried races acording to the new German VDH rules for the first time in Windach, Germany.
All the girls started in a strongly attended class TRB 2 (14 teams), Barnie and Aisha with their height of 41 and 42 cm in the MEDIUM size category, Pretty in the LARGE category. All size categories are evaluated together, smaller dogs have a shorter track, cleanness of performance is decisive, points are deducted for mistakes, and time is used to evaluate the ranking only if two teams have the same point evaluation. Both Aisha and Barnie ran both runs perfctly and scored full points, with the faster Aisha winning and Barnie second. Pretty made a few mistakes, so she didn't reach the medal position, but she, like Aisha and Barnie, got an Excllent rating, so all the girls met the qualification requirements to start in class 2 or 3 at the next German races.
The evening before the race, the race organizers invited us to a joint meeting. It was nice to get to know each other and to discuss the current state and perspectives of treibball in both countries and in Europe.
